Theegala won’t be able to play the PGA Championship. Well at least, not Thursday and Friday. And so Doug feels in order to lead his team, he must make a change. Theegala is out. Gone. Doug isn’t even paying for the airfare to send him home. But stepping in is a hot golfer; Mr. Keith Mitchell’s Steakhouse!
More changes to Team Jaustin
Former manager Lauren was supposed to deliver another potential FGL manager by May 5th. Didn’t happen. That’s not a good thing to do to pregnant women. But late on the night of May 9th, it all happened. For some of you, you just might remember where you were on 5/9 10 years ago. That was Team Laustin’s wedding. What a party that was. But now it’s become a birthday. This young lad was 8 pounds, 9 ounces, 22 inches long and already three years old! Baby, mom and dad are all doing well and got home Sunday afternoon. Big brother Julian seemed more excited about his new toy and playing with Uncle Brandon at the firehouse. (Videos below golf write-up). And finally, the much anticipated name of this dark-haired cute boy is Henrik “Henry” John Schenk.
Jim just keeps marching on.
Can you believe he scored 16 points? Three guys finished top 10; including JT who snuck into 2nd place with Shane Lowry’s 18th hole bogey. Jim continues to lead the FGL as we move onto the PGA Championship.
Big J is back in 2nd place with 12 points with your Commissioner just a few points back from him. Straka’s win certainly helped! Dave’s time in 2nd place was brief as he slides back down to 4th place.
Doug lost a guy to injury Sunday. Theegala had a boo-boo in his neck and had to withdraw. Doug and Kevin continue to battle it out in the Battle of the Bames with only 1 point separating them.
I’m already hearing that Rory is going to win next week. Sure - Jim’s guy. Hopefully this is some sort of hex!

Big J forced to make line-up change
Billy Horschel. A blue collar, grinding, Big J type of player. Alas, he has hurt his hip. I would still think he could chip and putt. But Big J has pulled the plug on Horschel. Got him scheduled for surgery. Coming back off the Waiver list to fill in will be Matthieu Pavon.
As was predicted in prophecy.....
Well not exactly. Scheffler won by a mile but Spieth did not finish in 2nd place but rather 4th. But he shot a final round 62 which is quite impressive. Great week for B.T.O. as he climbs the leaderboard and is now in 2nd place. Yes - you read that correctly! Happy Birthday Dave - enjoy it while it lasts.
In other news, Collin Morikawa has split with his longtime caddie JJ Jakovac. Joe Greiner will be his caddie moving forward. This is big news within the Morikawa-camp but what I find shocking is that his manager Big J was never even consulted about this.
Truist Championship is up next. NO CUT! It was at Quail Hollow in NC last year but I don’t remember it. In Philadelphia this year. Big FGL field expected.

Commish wins!
A little known rule (so little that it’s not even written) is that if a rainbow is over your house, you automatically win the Tommy O Award!
However, I’m willing to pass and let the season move forward.
Oh the pain
I hit shank after shank after shank this Sunday night at TopGolf. Made me kind of wish the Polaris Ampitheater was there instead. Those were the days!
Not much happens in New Orleans - with regard to the FGL
B.T.O. and your Commish inched just a little closer but no one really did much of anything.
Not expecting much to happen this next weekend either. It’s the Byron Nelson. Remember when that was a big tournament with Lord Byron sitting in a big chair off #18? I guess with the way this tournament lands now, it’s mostly a week off for FGL golfers unless they are from Texas.
And with that in mind, should be a great week for B.T.O. Scottie and Spieth are playing; should be 17 points.

Jim has another good week
In a week where there was NO cut, you needed guys to finish top 10 to make up any ground. And Jim did that best of all with 16 points. Last week I bet that Justin Thomas would miss the cut. I guess he took that personal as he went on to win the Heritage in a playoff this week.
On Sunday I watched the grandsons searching through an Easter egg hunt. I started to have seizures. At first, I couldn’t understand why. And then I realized I was having similar flashbacks to what typically happens when I tee off. I get stuck in the woods scavenging for my golf ball!
Jim and Big J continue to lead the way on your FGL leaderboard. Let’s see if a trip to New Orleans changes any of that.
FGL mostly catching its breath with tournament headed to New Orleans
After the Master’s and Heritage, a lot of guys are taking a break. This is that tournament where they team up. Last year’s champs were Rory and Shane Lowry.

You can’t be like this in 2025 and get away with it.
Manager Jim likely needs to have his heart checked.
I thought for sure Rory had the Master’s locked up. Then he lost it. Then he won it. Then….. Up 5 shots with 8 holes left and Justin Rose catches him? I did not see that happening. But Rory finally got it done and finished up his career Grand Slam. A big week for Jim as he takes command of the FGL Leaderboard with 22 points and wins the coveted Major tournament sidebet jackpot of $35.
Your Commissioner was the loser for the week; only picking up 6 points. Half my team wanted the weekend off. And I’m still not sure about Aberg. He’s got that little dot above the letter “A” that I just don’t understand and can’t figure out how I’m supposed to pronounce it.
I had a wonderful time Friday catching up with Managers Big J and Doug. Started at TopGolf and naturally, J still has his automatic swing. But more than anything, his mind is so locked into this golf season. then we were off to Gallo’s. Honored to be there for the big announcement. Well at first I thought it was a tornado warning or a Hooter’s birthday celebration. No - it was CBS honoring Monica & Paul’s boy Nick Dunlap for having one of the greatest one day comebacks ever at the Master’s. He shot a 71 Friday. His management must be so proud. If only he hadn’t shot 90 on day one.
Time for some Harbor Town action
Short (by our standards), narrow, lots of trees, small greens. Interesting course. And a signature event with lots of guys playing.
Your Commissioner is dumping Taylor Pendrith, mostly because I don’t know who the guy is. Bringing back an old favorite who hasn’t been part of the FGL for a few years. Please stand and welcome back Daniel “Ham” Berger.
