Kevin rocks the Commissioner’s Office with blockbuster trade!
Hours before the start of the Memorial Tournament, Manager Kevin has fired half his team. Henrik Stenson, Marc Leishman and Daniel HamBerger are gone. Immediately. As security escorted them out, Kevin welcomes his trio of Pepper mint Patty (good to have you back), big John Holmes and Jon Rahm. Good luck to some extent Kevin.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all……………..and then you see more. J laying on the ground fishing his ball out and then hitting a Driver from the rough. Obviously an interesting day!
Big J finished 1st and 2nd in Texas. All of Doug’s boys stayed home. That tells you all you need to know. Oh - and Dave has finally pulled to within one point of getting out of the basement.
I’m told the greens have all been redone. A few holes longer. An additional bunker or two. Jack is trying to put some teeth back in his course. A decent FGL field but not the best. Kevin and B.T.O. have just one guy playing.

Phil won? I was totally wrong on that. Even predicted as late as Saturday that there was no possible way he’d hang on. Oops. But I look at many others that finished in the top 5: Oosthuizen, Lowry, Higgs, Peppermint Patty. FGL Managers - we all missed out on that.
For awhile, it looked like perhaps Big J would deliver a knock-out punch to the leaderboard. All 6 of this guys made the cut, but in the end, none of them cracked the top 20. And so, the season moves on with 2 of 5 Majors behind us.
Kevin had the best weekend thanks to Koepka’s 2nd place finish and wins the Sidebet Major Pool
My brilliant trade of Rahm for Morikawa was a wash. They both finished tied for 8th. Hey - I tried. Just don’t see it happening this season for the Commissioner.

Sam Burns ended his round with a birdie, giving him 2nd place and pushing General Patton and HamBurger down to 3rd place. Critical points for Doug as he slips into the lead solo. Meanwhile, at the other end of the board, B.T.O. continues to struggle with Dustin Johnson withdrawing before the tournament with a bad knee and is uncertain for the PGA Championship.
I had the glorious opportunity to golf with The Legend last week at Chapel Hill. Words cannot truly explain the experience. Chilly, windy and wet would be a good start though.
Everyone picked up points in North Carolina, except for your Commissioner. And I thought Big J would be going negative until the cut line moved late on Friday, getting NEWMAN and Frenchy barely in for the weekend. Ended up with 5 points for him and back to solo first place on your Tommy O leaderboard.
Great news Jim and Dave. Reavie and Fancy Pants are NOT playing so no lost points! Actually Jim, your whole team is taking the week off - I guess to rest up for the upcoming PGA Championship.

Big J’s guys took some time off and Doug has caught up. Of course, the guys that do play for Big J always make the cut. For the entire season, his 6 guys have missed a total of just 2 cuts. No other franchise even comes close to that. A couple managers have one player alone that has missed 5 cuts! (Dave - Peter Pan, Jim - Chex Reavie) And yet, Doug has still been able to claw and crawl his way up the leaderboard. Tied for 1st place. We may have a race with the PGA Championship just a few weeks away.

Dave - Dave? DAVE! Really counting on a Pete Rose win but 4 rounds were just too much to ask. With Dustin Johnson’s missed cut, it ended up with only 4 more points for B.T.O. - bringing him up to 10 exciting points for the whole season.
Paul - very impressed with your 12 year old kid. Hey - how about you throw him a burger and fries? Very impressed at how steady he was. 24 points for Paul and 3rd place.
In a strange, little known procedural move, Manager Monica has claimed Paul’s boy Zalatoris and in his spot, she is willing to give Paul her stud (who hasn’t played yet) John Suh. Very strange. Investigations have just begun.
My guy - Si Woo Kim - broker his putter Friday during a temper tantrum. I appreciate the effort but not in the middle of your round. I called him and said, “Whoa Woo - what you doing?” My team is just too young and raw for this league.
It’s been over a year but got together with Managers Monica, Doug, Doctor and Mrs. Commissioner at Coach’s on Friday. For the Doctor - about the only way he got to see his guys. Al picked up ZERO points for the Masters.
