Making a statement with a little ink
So many FGL managers take their jets to Augusta
Laustin plows into the lead
Scottie Scheffler’s win and top 10 finishes from Morikawa and Jimmy Connors brought in 34 points for the South Lebanon team. Into first place with a nice lead as we move to Hilton Head next week.
Doug, Al, Jim and Paul had all their guys make the cut. That certainly helps. Al led the way with 20 points. Your Commissioner picked up 18 points with Rory’s surprising 2nd place finish and The Mullet’s 3rd place finish.
The Master’s is normally when Big J takes charge. But Spieth missed the cut and Oosty just quit. Sorry J.
Dave picked up one point in our first tournament - the Honda Classic. Since then, he has not scored any additional points. That is one tough strategy!
2nd to 7th place all bunched up pretty tight.
Kevin strikes in time for the Masters
Olde English is gone. His hip surgery on Valetine’s Day and inability to play seems to have bothered Manager Kevin. No more English on his team. Quickly stepping in will be Abraham Lincoln Ancer.
The Doctor makes a move!
No more Grace on his team. Sorry Branden. You’ve been fired. Stepping in for the Master’s is Sepp Staka.
FRIENDS..............it's time for the Master's. Limited field. Crucial FGL tournament
Manager Golfers expected to play
Kevin Brooks Koepka, Pete Rose, Matt Fitzpatrick
Big J Jordan Spieth, Newman!, Oosty, Mackenzie Hughes, Billy Horschel
Commish Rory McIlroy, Cameron Smith,, Matthew Wolff, Cameron Young,
Jim Justin Thomas, Jason Kokrak, Max Homa, Daniel HamBerger
Laustin Scottie Scheffler, Jimmy Conners, Collin Morikawa, Mito Pereira, Gary Woodland
Paul Viktor Hovland, Will Zalatoris, Tom Hoge, Hideki Matsuyama
B.T.O. Patrick Cantlay, Bryson DeChambeau
The Doctor Dustin Johnson, Tony Finau, Marc Leishman, Shane Lowry, Adam Scott
Monica Breakfast Schauffele, George Burns, Donl Henley, Sungjae Im
Doug Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood Mac, Talor Gooch, Kevin Kisner, Tiger, Harold Varner
Happy Birthday to the "L" in Laustin!
No Lefty; Tiger teases
Phil will continue his sabbatical from golf; missing the Masters. FGL Insider has heard rumors that Augusta actually encouraged Phil to not attend this year’s Master’s - even thought he’s a 3 time champ there.
Tiger played a practice round at Augusta and has not technically declined his invitation to play in the tournament. But I predict he waits until next year.
Kevin - just learned some news on your $4.00+ boy of Harris English. He’s out of the Masters. Why? - you may ask. Well - I’m glad you asked. He had hip surgery on Valentine’s Day and no timeline yet for his return to the tournament.
Chair dancing ................ long ago
George Burns helps move Monica into first place. Really!
What a performance. And now we have Monica at the top of your FGL leaderboard. You don’t see that every day!
Not sure where I came up with last week’s list of expected players. I wasn’t even close. I had one guy, Aaron Wise, decided to play without telling me. Did well enough until his last hole Friday which he bogeyed and missed the cut by just that one stroke. I know - we’ve all been there.
Davey - you’re still going in the wrong direction!
FGL is going to take a week off so all managers can reflect on their teams. We’ll be back in two weeks in Texas before heading over to Augusta.
Players Championship is exhausting! Laustin maintains a slim lead over Jim and your Commish. Horschel quits on Big J.
Sorry Dave…….DeChambeau withdraws once again. As does Matsuyama (Paul)
Crazy weekend at Arnie's place
Par was a good score. That course, with the wind, made everyone look foolish at some point. In the end, it was Team Laustin on top of your FGL leaderboard with Beam me Up Scottie’s victory and Woodland’s top 5.
Jim slips into 2nd place with a 5-way tie for 3rd place.
Rain expected for the first several days at the Players Championship. Going to be interesting!
FGL Managers - this is the week to make your statement. Huge FGL field playing

Laustin Scottie Scheffler, Jimmy Conners, Collin Morikawa, Mito Pereira, Gary Woodland, Doug Ghim
Paul Viktor Hovland, Will Zalatoris, Tom Hoge, Hideki Matsuyama, Doc Redman

The Doctor Big Johnson, Tony Finau, Marc Leishman, Shane Lowry, Branden Grace, Adam Scott
Monica Xander Schauffele, Sam Burns, Russell Henley, Sungjae Im, Lanto Griffin, Adam Hadwin
Arnie update - Jason Day and DeChambeau withdraw from tourney. Rahm in.
Jim jumps into the lead!
Through Saturday’s round, I had our opening tournament locked up for Hamburger. But it was one too many rounds for him. However, Hamburger and Captain Kirk both brought in Top 10 finishes scoring Jim 8 points for the effort.
Shane Lowery looked like he was going to pull out the victory until the 18th hole and a downpour ruined his drive. Too bad Al. But at least you’re in 2nd place.
Three managers went the wrong way. Monica, Doug and Paul all lost points; not how you want to start FGL 2022
Trades have already started rolling in. Poor Sergio! He was so excited to be on an FGL team draft night but it didn’t last. He and Tringale were cut by Big J as the Honda Classic kicked off. Stepping in will be Horchak and Jack. I didn’t even know Nicklaus still played. Turns out it’s Jack Senior.
Expected to play at Arnie's Place (lots of top guys skipping it)
