Clearly I’m Julian’s favorite!
The fam is home!
Commissioner institutes a new rule
It’s nice being King but embarrassing that after 24 years, I haven’t yet addressed this. But if it should happen that there is a tie for first at the end of the regular season, those managers will compete in the following week’s event with the same teams they had when the season ended. No trades. This playoff will continue for as many weeks as the tie continues. Just something for us to complain about in winter meetings!
Time for THE Open. Peacock carries it when I'm sleeping. Then USA/NBC

her Breakfast Souffle won once again! This now puts her just one point behind Team Laustin for the lead.
Observation: The managers with the first three picks in the 2022 FGL draft are all at the bottom of the leaderboard. Shame on you!
Team Laustin adds to management team
Besides Al (Happy birthday Doctor), we now have another Independence Day baby. Julian Matthew was born far too early in the morning of July 4th. 7 pounds and 10 ounces. Mom has been discharged and Julian will be home in a day or two. Mom is doing well and so is Austin. Both are likely wondering when they’ll ever sleep a whole night ever again.
IDI another huge success
For over 20 years, the city of Granville has welcomed us with a parade, band, rides and so many baked beans. Another beautiful hot day battling for the coveted crystal boot!
Pre-IDI festivities held at Shaker Run with Three Finger Tim….
Dave scores points!!!!
Not much happened at the John Deere. Every FGL golfer that played missed the cut ……. except for Grillo for Dave. 2nd place and 7 points for the Lumberman!
Team Laustin entering last week of pregnancy
Yep - this should be it. Austin is still looking good but Lauren………..I think she just wants this baby out NOW. I predict he’ll be close to 20 pounds when he’s born. If you have any words of wisdom or inspiration to pass along to Team Laustin, click on the EMAIL button at the top right of this page to see everyone’s contact information.

Xander almost blew it but held strong to take the victory at The Travelers.
I think a lot of FGL golfers had US Open hangover. Most managers ended up scoring 0 points or less for this event.
Jim’s boy Kokrak needed a birdie on his last hole Friday to make the cut. His second shot flew way over the green out of bounds. Kokrak just walked off the course upsetting tournament officials. I’ve been there. I get it. I’ve felt that was sometimes by the 2nd hole.
Most everyone is skipping the John Deere Classic. The following week, we have two tournaments: the Barbasol and the Scotish Open.
Daniel HamBurger did not work out well with Team Jim earlier this season. While an amazing manager, I recall working well with Daniel just a few years ago. And so, I have chosen to pick up the Hamburger and also hope that Stewart Cink has some luck in his sticks with the British coming up. Gone are Alex Noren and LIV golfer Kevin Na Na Na Na.
John Deere Classic up next. Anyone want to play? Not many FGL golfers in it.

Buckeye Lake Golf
Wow - what a treat to golf with The Doctor and Bamer at some course right on Buckeye Lake. Beautiful day. And then over to Papa Boos!
Big week for Kevin
Looks like a 12 year old boy won the US Open. That’s great news for Kevin and the major sidebet.
Team Laustin had another great week with Scottie’s 2nd place finish and moves back into first place.

Pinnacle Country Club - Monday
Got brought back for a Delta Dental event. Gorgeous course. But what terrible golf!
Commissioner slips into the lead
Thanks Rory for playing amazing in Canada. I could be picky and wish you had done that last week at the Memorial or next week at the US Open. But I suppose I should just enjoy the moment.
If you watched Sunday’s round, there were soooooo many really low rounds. Jim - I thought Justin Thomas had it until the 17th hole. He finished in 3rd thanks to Finau’s long birdie on 18. Sorry Jim.
As we move into our 4th of 5 Majors, I’d like to point out an unwritten rule. Perhaps it should be in the official rules. But there is no sympathy rooting in the FGL. Even Mrs. Commissioner was guilty of that last week as she, along with other FGL managers recently, commented on how nice it would be if Austin won. No - it would not! It would be nice if he came in 2nd place. I’d even be happy if all of you tied for 2nd place. But no rooting for the win. Especially when it’s against me!
Only 16 points separates 1st - 4th place. This could be a battle to the end!
The USGA presents: The US Open at The Country Club. I think it's going to be a bit awkward in the clubhouse for a few of these guys.
